The BBC Features The Shell Shockers In The Sports Section Of Their Website
July 17, 2006The Shell Shockers have been mentioned on the website of the British Broadcasting Corporation, the most famous news organization in the world.
The trusted and illustrious company publishes their internet pages in 33 different languages and they are read by millions of people in every corner of the globe.
The article is a look back at the FA Cup Final in April 1991between West Ham United and Nottingham Forest. It takes the line-ups of both teams on that day 15 years ago and examines their subsequent careers.
The Shell Shockers link is West Ham midfielder Ian Bishop. In 2004 he came to the States and played one season for the Shell Shockers, capping an outstanding year by being voted onto the All-Southern Conference Team. When the campaign ended he left for Florida where he is currently coaching youngsters.
